David Whitney is a Theatre Maker and Creative Learning Practitioner based in East Anglia.
David specialises in work with Young People and Communities and has led learning departments across the country.
As a Creative Learning practitioner David is passionate about engaging within the community and has run workshops and projects with young people, SEN groups, over 55's and charities including The YMCA, FOCUS 12, Women's Refuge, The Benjamin Foundation and Children's University

David works with a diverse range of influences and has experience directing professional casts and young people on both small and large scale projects. Through working as a director, he supports performers, helps them push themselves into understanding character and motive within a piece of theatre and being brave with choices. David prides himself on evoking a healthy company spirit and positive mentality in a rehearsal room and on stage.
David has built meaningful and cohesive relationships within his creative teams as well as bringing a fresh and adaptable approach to ones that he has formed whilst working with new clients.
